To be honest with you I'm seeing lots of chalky visions at Arlington Park today. Showing Up looks to lay over the small field he caught, English Channel and Cacique seem too be best as well. The only stakes race there that looks like a place where you can jam in a horse in tri's at a price would be the Beverly D, I like Rich Spirit to be in the number there at a nice price.

I could not agree with you more about Rich is Spirit oracle. She is extremely consistent this year, and I guess you always have to respect Guidry at Arlington. I plan on playing her underneath Honey Ryder and Film Maker in some exotics. I just don't think Gorella will be able to circle the whole field and run past these going 9.5, so I am tossing her completely. The Beverly D is definitely my favorite race on the card.

Why would you play this horse underneath? Shes going to win. Film Maker is the talent of the field but when has she ever come up big in a grade 1 race? WHy would you key her on top with that awful post at a short price?

Cmmon, get take a shot. Y'all only live once

She is a good horse, no question about it and I would not be SHOCKED if she won, but I would be a little surprised. Running in G3s and top level allowance races are one thing, but this is a pretty large class jump.
Film Maker's LOWEST Beyer in her last eleven races is a 97. Rich in Spirit's HIGHEST Beyer ever was a 96. So why do I like Film Maker? Well like you said, she is the "talent of the field."

I don't go totally by Beyers either. I certainly look at them, but they are not the primary thing I use to cap races. But when horse A's worst Beyer is higher than horse B's best Beyer, I think it tells you something about a fairly large class disparity between those two horses.
