![]() the greatest motor sport of all, after suffering through a dull runaway season ala michael schumacher's early 90's dominance, imploded this afternoon.
ferrari, mcclaren, braun and 5 other teams announced they won't participate in 2010 and will form an alternate circut to compete against the f.i.a. next year. this to protest budget restrictions imposed on the teams by f.i.a. f1 without ferrari is like baseball without the yankees, red sox, and dodgers all rolled into one. mcclaren would be the next 3 most popular teams. and braun is the f1 team running away from everyone this year. it's been a weird season with diffusers and kinetic energy recovery systems but i thought things would eventually get back to equilbrium. the worst part? i live somewhere that even the biggest sports nut has no idea what i'm talking about. there's supposed to be an american team next year but if ferarri isn't there, i doubt anyone cares. i'll watch the british gp sunday on fox. but i can't imagine doing it next year without the best teams. |
