Default SAR: Week 3, Day 13

The big Whitney Weekend prevented me from getting Monday's card capped, but I hope we'll make up for it today.. Week 3 and the middle portion of the meet kicks off today and the card looks very inviting. Although I continue to bet sparingly, Week 2 was very lucrative and the personal bankroll swelled to +$1,050 thanks to just one big triple hit and 2 straight $20 win-place bets. With 13 race days in the books, I've made less than 20 wagers. Picking spots is the key...

SELECTIONS -- Saratoga, 8/9

1st: (Clm/N2L, 6f) 8-6/9-4

2nd: (MSW, 2yo, 6.5f) 3-6/7-9 (Longshot Alert: 8)

3rd: (OC/C, 4+, 1m-IT) 1e-5/7-9

4th: (NYB-Alw/N1x, 3+, 9f) 1e-8/7-6

5th: (MSW, 2yo fillies, 5.5f) 6-9/1e-8

6th: (Clm, 3yo, 6f) 9-5/3-7 (Longshot Alert: 5)

7th: NYB-MSW, F&M-3+, 5,5f) 1e-3/6-5

8th: Alw/N1x, 3+, 5.5f-T) 2-4/7-8

9th: (The 3rd De La Rose, $70,000, F&M-4+, 1m-IT) 1-10/5-8

10th: (NYB-MSW, 3+, 9f-T) 1-6/9-11-2

Good luck..
Steve

Hi Steve - have to admit I've been a closet follower of the DT for some time now but decided I should comment on your selections today. You had some very good prices with your on tops today (with JR and Edgar aboard no less). I won't lie that I was also extremely happy to see your exactas come home in the 8th and 10th as well - with a big winner on top in the 10th. I guess I just wanted to echo the thoughts of many that we enjoy not only your selections but also you sharing your daily experiences along the way. I'm sure there is plenty going on at the Spa and would easily understand you missing posts along the way.

Hello Steve, I just wanted to express the same appreciation as the other DT posters and lurkers. I find your insight and experiences into Saratoga and racing in general a pleasure. Thank's for launching Derby Trail as I always look forward to your selections and insight.
