Default Holllywood Nites! 5/15

Another evening at the Wood is upon us. Last Friday nite was a profitable one for many members of the DT crew. Including Rude going deep on the early and late pick 4's and Bigs and yours truely cashing on the early sequance. But the highlight of the night was Doc, Point & Pmac being live going into the last leg of the pick 6. Unfortunatle it didn't work out for them. But, it was definitely a fun and exciting night. Hopefully more sucess is in the cards for tonight, but it does seem like tonight's races are much tougher/wide open than last week's.
Good Luck to those playing.
1ST 1 1/16 MILE MDSPWT.
#6 SHE'S BORRACHO 3rd time out for the Ayers/Mullins runner who will be on the stretch out. Should be in a stalking position.
#4 BREAD N WATER Half million dollar filly making her 2nd start for the Dollase barn who is clicking at %31 clip with horses running 2nd time out. She didn't disgrace herself in her sprint debut.
#5 FLEET ROYALE Looks like the filly might be the lone speed. Originally was going to toss her, but from the look of things yesterday speed seemed to be holding on.

Cases can probably be made for the 1 & 2 also in this wide open affair.

2ND 6F 12.5 CLAIMER
#8 DRAFT CHOICE Sadler 4 year old looks like the main speed in this race. He is dropping from the 25k level, in that race he was on the lead after a half drilled in 43.4. OK work on 5/11 has me hoping that he's healthy.
#6 SAILBOAT SAM Stalk/closer type should have a good pace to close into. Willing to toss his last race when he ran 6th running for 8k, due to outside post and bad positioning.
#7 A DUBAI 5 year old gelding only making his 4th career start. Broke his maiden on this track in a gate to wire victory. Dropping to the lowest level that he has ever run for and seems to be working well. Also hoping that he's healthy and that Machowsky is just trying to steal a race.

3RD 6 1/2F 8K CLAIMER
Another wide open affair that might result in someone lighting up the toteboard.
#1 WATCH OVER ME Slight drop off the claim (never like that angle), but this 8 year old always seems to give his all. Has hit the board 23 times (including 8 wins) out of 30 races. Has rated in the past and hope that is the tactics that are used in this race that seems to have a lot of speed in it.
#4 SOMETHING SONIC O'Neill runner has been close the last 3 times out. He did run 5 days ago (another angle that I usually don't like) but is on the drop. Any repeat of those races would give him a big shot.
#8 I AM MADISONComing off a conditional win gate to wire victory. I believe he will be the one to get the lead in this one and try to repeat last race's performance.
#5 TAME THAT TIGER More of a trainer play here as Bianconne has won with 3 times out of 5 starters. Adding the hood which should unfortunately ensure even more speed in the race. The horse is a maiden and never has hit the board. The 200k purchase has shown speed at time and is dropping to the bottom. Hoping for a price on this hunch play that is interestingly placed against winners.

I looked for a closer to play in this race and couldn't really come up with anyone. I hate having 3-4 horses that will run each other into submission.

4TH 7F 25K MDN CLAIMER
#8 MOON OVER MALIBUONeill runner on the drop. She didn't disgrace herself running in Md specials up at GG on the turf. Good work, running at a better level and on a cutback for the filly with the most consistant Beyers in the field.
#7 JUSTALITTLETIPSY Making his 4th start for the Peter Miller barn who is off to a good start. Cutting back to 7 panels and looks like the main speed of the race.
#3 CALI GIRL Beyers are a bit on the lite side for this 3 year old. Last race wasn't awful and the 3 place finisher came back to win next time out. Is making a slight drop and expect her to be in a good stalking position.

This is what my ticket is looking like right now. I think this is a very tough sequance and should pay handsomely.
4,5,6
6,7,8
1,4,5,8
3,7,8
3x3x4x3=$108

Definitely more than I like spending on a pick 4 ticket. Might look to trim it down a hair.

If I get a chance later I will try to do the late pick 4. That sequance doesn't look any easier and includes a 25k mdn claimer in the finale that looks wide wide open.

GOOD LUCK AGAIN TO EVERYONE PLAYING.

8 (Should be the spot here, although I know he's burned much coin)
1-4-5-8-9 (Like the 4, but not solid enough to not go fishing for a price)

Curious what people are thinking in the second leg of the late P4, race 6.

You think?

Doesn't it appear that the 1 is easily the quickest early of the bunch?

When I made first pass at the pp's I thought the was some speed, but then more and more it looks like the 1 is the speed.

I switched up my ticket a bit. Ended up playing Harty's horse who has ran a race around 2 turns already over Dollase's. Also playing against Machowsky on the drop in the second. Then with the scratch in the 4th, I included the 6, who's last 2 haven't been bad. Hopefully it pays off.
$1 early pick 4
2,5,6
6,8
1,4,8
3,6,8
$54 $185.70
Good Luck
