Default Had some VIP treatment at AP today

The highlights included:
  • Paid boxed seats
  • Barn tour of the connected barn, gave treats to their horses
  • Walked thru the silks room
  • Got my name up on the jumbotron for my bday, which I could of done without, my bday isn't until Tuesday anyways.
  • Standing inside the paddock area
  • And the absolute best was meeting John Dooley and standing right beside him during a call. That was simply amazing to watch firsthand.
  • I also walked up to a machine that had a $36 voucher, nobody was around so I cashed out, a little birthday $ from the racing gods

Sounds like a fun day and an awesome bday present. Last saturday was my second time at Arlington park and I can't wait to make it a third later this summer.

Only thing better would of been if I won some $ - the only race I won was one where I forgot to bring the PP's down with me to the paddock and I just picked a 9/2 horse that Rene was riding. Inez killed me in the feature and another longshot she won with.

Not sure what I was supposed to do? Nobody was around. And I've left plenty behind myself, latest behind at HW for the IL Derby, $25 left behind because I was rushing to watch the SA Derby

It wasn't Inez killing you, it was Douglas getting caught behind with no where to go, f'n Telling was 4 lengths better then everyone and I used the 7 too, was a brutal race...

Sounds like a great birthday. Dooley is an incredibly nice guy who LOVES his job, so I'm not surprised you had a great time meeting him.

It can't be considered VIP until youve had an "up close and personal" with Jessica
