Default This thread is nuts!

Dr. Allday made a crack about putting Mine That Bird's testicles back on the other day on the show. It got me to thinking about testicle transplants. I Googled the subject and found that it has been done with humans and the children subsequently produced by the transplantee were actually those of the donor.

http://www.altpenis.com/penis_news/t...nsplants.shtml

What if this could be done with horses? I mean, theoretically, when a horse like Barbaro goes down, his testicles could be removed before euthanasia and transplanted into a $5,000 claimer -- thus preserving the owner's investment.

I'm sure if this is possible with horses it is still a ways away, but like cloning Secretariat, this type of thing is going to be an option someday, won't it? Just out of curiosity (and in the interest of banter other than "Mine That Bird is a fluke" and "No, he isn't!"), where do industry people stand on this type of Star Trek science?

Judging by your "O M G" response I can tell you must think it took some balls to post that. Was that a low blow to the Barbaro fans? Or maybe you just don't have the stones to consider such a thing.

I'm really not sure how I feel...but once I post something with a link to www.altpenis.com, let's reconvene and discuss how badly I've jumped the shark at that point.

Deal?

Deal. Although I'm not sure you fully understand what "jump the shark" means. I certainly, in the name of television ratings, haven't shot my whole wad yet. But if testicle talk makes you queasy, I offer a full retraction.

I doubt testicle talk is something he's squeamish about Deano.

it would be a ballsy move, I don't know that Mine That Bird's genetics would make the cut, even if they hadn't.

I had this discussion with a buddy of mine a while back who joked that he was going to have Storm Cats transplanted on him and he would walk around with a wheel-barrel.....

I say, when the removal occurs, send the parts to the cryogenics people for them to preserve and when and if the horse turns into something worth procreating, then they could be reattached and it would of course still be original equipment. If the horse cant run, they could send the stuff to that guy on the travel channel that eats anything and maybe he pan fries them or sautees............

Let me be the first to admit that I guess I don't have the "stones" to spend any time thinking about equine testicle transplants.

I'm not a fan of that horse. He's always going off half-cocked.
