The pitching isn't quite as good as it was last year according to the guys who do their games on satellite radio. That AL east division is more than competitive especially with the Blue Jays and Baltimore getting off to decent starts. The Rays have a bulls eye on their back they will carry all year long.

The Bullpen has been awful, especially the middle and set up guys

Beyond awful. I can pitch better than 95% of that 'pen and am surely in better shape than that fat-ass Percival.

Trading Edwin Jackson (a very live, young arm) to the Tigers was probably not their best move to date, but I think it was with David Price in mind. Should have sent puss throwing Sonnanstine instead.

There only one game below where they were this time last year. A little early for panic, but agree the BP is dreadful

I can not believe they sent that kid they got for Jackson to Durham, and Gabe Gross is still here

Getting close to panic time. Do you think they can go on another tear like they did last year after that slow start. I don't think that hot streak is something you can rely on this/every year.

Bats are ice cold, they're playing sloppy, and they've got no relief. Now add an extended west coast swing and they've got their work cut out. Still early to write them off, but agree they need to change things in a hurry. Price isn't the fix - they need to address the middle relief and have got to find an answer to the closer role.

Their pitchers starters and relievers pitched a lot of innings late into the year and are feeling it now. Same can be said for the Phils. Howell and Balfour were huge at the end of last year and looked spent in the playoffs and haven't been good so far this year. Plus Upton has been out and Longoria missed a few games. If you believe in he Verducci Affect Garza is a prime candidate for a down year and/or injury.

They are getting buried. Early to panic, but if I was a Rays fan....wouldn't be a very positive situation.

They are finding creative ways to lose.

Ichiro hits a lead off home run yesterday....the final score? 1-0.
Rays give up four hits and lose.

That was a nice effort on Friday Night. As the Turks say(when butchering English,) you still have hopes.
