Fair Grounds

R8 - Alw 44k N1X

#7 Captain Cherokee - Half brother to Midnight Lute sure looked impressive breaking his maiden last month in his 1st two turn try. I strongly recommend to check out the replay if you get a chance on fairgroundsracecourse.com 1/17/09 Race 1. Loved the way he bullied his way to the rail without Robby really asking him to do it. I'm actually having a buddy place a KD future's bet on him prior to the race at 200-1 at the Wynn. WON

Tampa Bay Downs

R10 - G3 Sam F. Davis

#7 Free Country
#8 A.P. Cardinal

Golden Gate Fields

R8 - G3 El Camino Real Derby

#7 Chocalate Candy WON
#3 Axel Foley

Good Racing Luck

Not seeing an early P4 at Gulfstream being offered, am I misreading, or maybe XBP just isn't offering.

Thanks for the inputs, very much appreciated as always!

BOL today.

Lunch, you're right. I was thinking of the Fair Grounds. I'll make the correction.

Tale of Ekati - 2/5 with 20MTP, Tough to swallow, especially after Tagg refused to run him at GP last year because he did not like the surface. I know he's been training well. Interesting.

Default Sam F. Davis

Didn't have a chance to contribute earlier today, but on my blog I posted that I like #10 - Sumo in the the Sam F. Davis.

He did finish 2nd, but I didn't have a chance to see the race.

Bigsmc or Bogey did you see the race and based on the chart I can't get a feel for how he ran. Would you give him a chance in the Tampa Bay Derby?

Dan, you can make your own assessment at NTRA.com (Video) it's currently the top story.

As far as the Tampa Bay Derby, the water looks to be much deeper. Nice call on your blog (Sumo)
