Default Haskell HANDICAP

They all are carrying 118. What the hell is the story here? I heard Frankel scratched his horse because he was assigned 119. Total bullsh!t. i remember Sheba and Bet Twice carrying 126 and Lost Code with 124. What the hell is happening to this game?

The man does seem overly narotic about the weight assignments on all his horses but you cant argue his results. This is just another example of the "coddling" of the race horse... from foals on they're treated like egg shells... my main issue with the supposed (I guess its arguable) decline of race heavy campaigns and stars.

Very simple ...

... there no longer is any such thing as a handicap race.

There once was a time ... when Bold Ruler was asked to give 25 pounds over 10f to a multiple G1 winner (Clem) ... and 36 pounds to a multiple G1-winning mare (Dotted Line) ... and he did it ... and won! Now that was a handicap.

But those days are long gone.

Today a "handicap" means the "highweight" carries 118 pounds and the "low weight" carries 114.

Still calling races "handicaps" is both a joke and ... an insult to our intelligence.
