![]() Lugged in, hitting the rail, just before the wire, losing his action, and 2nd, in the process. Yet, to that point, he was getting a perfect trip, in terms of ground covered, and, after some thought, in terms of race dynamics. He would never have beaten the winner, who last moved the field, but early laggers would've finished 1-2. Another example of trouble (potentially) obscuring interpretation.

![]() I picked him second.
I didn't much care about his supposed trouble either way. I thought he got a semi-rushed ride by a rider with very poor timing last time and now switches to Dominguez. He can't beat the mighty Riptide.

![]() Did you like Senor Enrico back off that race? (Allowing for the off the turf, of course)

![]() I bet him last time because he was the only horse in the race, save the favorite, with decent races in true dirt races ( not off the turf races ) and I felt the favorite could be compromised on the front end. If you didn't hit the mute you would have heard me say all that.

![]() I've been busy with work and not following the races as closely as I'd want lately (and I didn't know that he'd won, or that it was off the turf, until a few minutes ago when I watched the replay). And, while I have just about everyone on this site on ignore, I certainly wouldn't mute you out. Look at the chart of that last turf race and see if you agree that SE's trip stands out.

![]() Interesting situation: HOL R5.
Cajun Gent is presently the chalk, 3:2 With Star Time and the 1ster, Full On, 4:1 Star Time got that idiotic move-too-soon trip by Talamo last out and was run down for 2nd by Cajun Gent. Today, they cut back 1/2F, which should IDIOT PROOF the race a bit for PREMATURE JOE T, and Gomez gets off Cajun Gent for the 1ster. |
