Default Liebman: Handle reporting embargo preposterous

http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/wgoh/...-a-Handle.aspx

Hats off to B-H Editor Dan Liebman rightfully sounding off regarding JCIS ending the publication of handle info... This is quite unbelievable, and the expansion of the very bad decision by CDI to do the same thing last year...

The Jockey Club Information Systems has discontinued providing The Blood-Horse handle numbers provided it by Equibase, making it more difficult to report racetrack’s meet-to-meet numbers.

Guess the track reporter can catch handle daily from the pools.

That's the move of someone who is going to try and sell something and doesn't want a lesser-value reality check available. Strange.
