![]() Just up in the archives, I enjoyed listening to Marcus Herch's comments with Steve. Thought his analysis was pretty much spot on in The Arlington Million and Beverly D.
BTW Just have to point out a small correction, it was Ioritz Mendizabal's second time in North America. He rode Satan's Circus to a second place finish in The American Oaks at Delmar earlier this summer. Even the experts can be corrected by a hack like me. ![]() |

![]() Yeah he comes across on air very calm and low key. Not in a boring way, but you sort of have to turn up the volume because you don't want to miss what he has to say. I got abit of the humor part towards the end of the segment.

![]() Marcus is one of my favorite guests. Insightful, sarcastic and self-effacing, and as valuable a beat writing guy as DRF has anywhere alongside Welsch, Grening and Privman. Not easy to bring quality to the beat writing and circuit handicapping, but Marcus does.

It was the first time that I ever heard him on air, I know him from his opinions, handicapping and articles from DRF, but it was very informative listening to his live analysis. I can't remember exactly what you compared him to towards the end of the segment...something about saving it to the end but I laughed when he answered. ![]() |
