Default Light humor from Pleasanton yesterday

Standing by the paddock early on in pre-race stuff in the middle of the day's card, I noted one of the extra outrider horses was unaccompanied in the last stall and looking attentively at his brethren going through pre-race paddock routine.

Honestly, I thought I knew what was going through his mind as he watched and watched and took a step out of his stall.

And then looked around, and took a couple more steps.

And then decided to join the horses being walked around the paddock. After one lap around he took a break in the paddock center ring grass to watch the continuing pre-race work.

And then one of the outriders then on the track noticed he had gone astray and motioned for someone to go get him.

The paddock parade was stopped as he went back to his stall where he watched some more.
