Default Jamie Theriot

Won six races today, for 5 different trainers. Not too shabby.

Theriot probably a bit better than ok. Didn't like him when he was first call for the crook, criminal, Cole Norman. However since then he was leading rider at Fairgrounds this past meet, third in the most recent Keeneland meet and currently in fourth place at Churchill. The nice thing is it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference who he rides for.

He started out riding QH's. I have a win picture from wayyyy back in the day of him on one of our homebreds. It must have been 1986-87, something like that. Was a good QH rider.

Canadian Passports or Mississippi Waterfalls are good ones as well...

And JT made me some beaucoup bucks at Oaklawn a few back. Seems like he always gave the 6 or 10-1's good chances to hit the board..

When some of these jocks get hurt and have to take time off, they will get up to 135 lbs or so after they start eating normally. But I heard Theriot is even bigger than that. I heard his natural weight is around 160 lbs. I think he is about 5"10 or 5"11.

How does he ride carrying anything close to that weight?

When he's riding, his weight is around 117 lbs or so. That is what is so amazing. Alot of these jocks starve themselves to stay 15-20 lbs below their natural weight but I think Theriot starves himself to stay around 40 lbs below his natural weight.

Jamie is 5 foot 8 1/2, indeed tall for a jock, but not 5 10 or 11.

That sounded a little tall to me. I've never seen him in person. It was Joe Talamo who told me that Theriot was close to 5"11 and got up to 160 lbs when he was sidelined.

Very few of those guys wouldnt naturally weigh 150-160. Take a look at Gomez face.
