![]() It seemed almost surreal. Richard Dutrow was standing alone outside the barn of Big Brown, drenched in sweat to the point that parametics needed to be on hand. His demeanor was a far cry from the high fives and chaotic aftemath of the Kentucky Derby. ABC could use the Derby and Belmont post race Dutrow doings to replace the opening of Wide World of Sports.
I never heard Dutrow after the race. Did anyone hear an interview with either Dutrow or IAEH? I think the lack of communication afterwards is a prime example of the poor character of these individuals. Everyone is a great guy when they are winning. Losing shows true character...or lack there of. |

![]() Actually, Dutrow was pretty stand up about the whole thing. He came out after they had gone over the horse and answered questions (many of them repetitive) for about 30 minutes. ESPNews aired most of it live. He stayed calm through the whole thing. At times, it was apparent some statements were meant to make up for his pre-Belmont prognostications, though. IEAH prez Iavarone also had a tidbit shown on Sportscenter and he said that they would move to the next race if everything checks out. And I'm not a fan of either party.

![]() It was hot.
Very hot I hear. But Shaq was present with the Vitamin drink, so no excuses for the portly one. |

I thought it was very funny when Dutrow answered the question of "What are you going to do from here" by saying "Well, I'm going to walk over to Frankel's barn over there." |
