someone must have seen it ran 12F on turf.... personally, don't think this horse even has a chance to hit the board.

I know it's initially nuts but there's some logic probably. He finished 2nd by a nose in a 1 1/2 mile race recently...certainly no G1 but it's not like this whole field is as tough as it could be. Nolan's Cat got 3rd which helped Catienus a bit for Mr. Ramsey so who knows. Might just be figuring they have a shot at 3rd.

It's pretty funny that people are looking into his 1 1/2 mile race and giving him a chance because of it.

Oh quite, it's not like it's even a graded stakes race. Who was even in that thing? That said, I wish him well. I don't like getting too nutty about these things.

i think it is more like there aren't many other options if you dont want to bet BB to win at 1:4.

out of the 100,000+ people there today I would guess 1,000 are handicappers

He was 75/1 the last time he ran on dirt, and that was in a 48k MSW at Gulfstream. He ran 8th and received a 46 BSF.
The horse is bred for turf, so even if you could take something positive out of his last race going 12f, there is absolutely no reason to think it will transfer to dirt.

As far as I am concerned this horse should be 10,000/1.

They think he's going to improve off his 3rd place finish in 1961.

That 1958 version of Guadalcanal was a good racehorse. Placed in a bunch of races that would have been G1 if they'd had graded races back then.
