Thankfully, I got out of going to see Sex and the City with my wife tomorrow evening, and am heading out to Arlington instead.
I'm going with races 1-3 for my pick-3 play of the day.

Race 1
This one looks wide open. I'm going deep and hoping for a price.
7 - Cactus Conie
5 - Put Back the Jewel
1 - Star Over Malibu
4 - Dana's Bell
6 - Quick Notice

Race 2
This is a horrible field. The #5 actually managed to pick up his feet last out, which sadly was all it took for me to single him.
5 - U Dream It U Do It

Race 3
The #6 drops in class, is back with Block, and returns to Chicago, turf, and her preferred distance. She could be a single, but the #7 has run well off a layoff over this surface in the past.
6 - Melissa's Dream
7 - Now

1,4,5,6,7 / 5 / 6,7

It is raining here this morning, and if they come off the turf, I'll be changing my selections in the third race.
My off the turf pick-3 will be:
1,4,5,6,7 / 5 / 3,5

Two horses on the radar today at Arlington. My guess is they are off the turf, but it really doesn't matter on or off.

Race 5 has two horses that ran evenly last time and should improve 2nd start. They are #2 Riding the Wind and #6 Gone Theatrical. Now, in these two horses, I am trying to beat both Pletcher and Mott, but both horses look a little questionable.

3: 6
4: 2,4,8
5: 2,6

$6

Also, expect speed to play alot better now that we got some rain last night, should help speed hold a little better

I think it's worth trying to beat both of those runners in the 5th, and like the two you like, but would also add Misszoey Belle, think she's worth a bit of a look.

And if the price is right, Red Chill might be worth a play later in the day if he runs back to his last, he'd be a threat.

raining all day will increase it. Toss a front runner at your own risk today, especially if there's any class to the horse at all.

they'll be off the turf... its pouring out here now (5 mi from the track) and they put out a tornado watch too... with more storms coming. Not looking like a good day to be outside.

it is a no play Friday/Saturday. Too much GOOD STUFF on Sunday and the coming week.

Sunday
THE ALCOVA KID - LOCK CITY - What a gross ML....I love the fact that Bennett is entering that horse that got 3rd in the G3 rat race......They are probably using this race as a tightener for Illinois Day on the 21st of June
Drivingmixandmitzi - LOCK CITY

I totally agree with the Fri/Sat (although I still picked them, but won't bet them). Only other maybe viable in the fourth is Fun With Phil and would box the other Block horse with TAK/FWP in a tri. I agree Driving... is probably a lock.

Although... need to see what the weather does, as that could change it.

Thanks...The thing that is nice about this is now is that when this horse gets to the turf, you still might be able to get a little bit of a price....

I totally agree. Was kinda surprised that the Pletcher horse didn't run at all. Thought that was the only one that could have beaten you.

All the scratches destroyed the value, but since the 3 scratched in the third too, I ended up still getting Melissa's Dream in that one. I'll take it.

Never thought I'd see that one.

Sadly, because of the bad weather in the morning and early afternoon, I decided to just take a trip to the local OTB instead of driving to Arlington. I played the first five races and then went home. This left me available to go see the movie.....which I did. Now, it certainly is not exactly my favorite genre of movie, but as those things go I reluctantly have to admit.....I didn't completely HATE it.

More importantly, I have posted four pick-3s on DT so far for the Arlington meet. The total cost of these four wagers was $38, and thus far I've cashed on three out of four for a total of $178.10. I know I am jinxing myself with this distasteful, self-congratulatory bragging, but I figured that since I am actually doing well....I'll start keeping track on here.
Of course, once I miss ten or twelve in a row......I'll stop keeping track.
