![]() A mare in a small box trailer being taken to her breeding appointment - a mini-van pulled out in front of the horse box on Paris Pike. Trailer tumbled. Mare had no chance and was severely injured. Hagyard Equine Ambulance responded. She will be laid to rest at her home, Stone Farm.

![]() Springtime in Lexington means you see horse vans all over the place, on New Circle Road, Paris Pike, Tate's Creek Pike, Versailles Road, etc, all of which are major commuter routes as well. It is surprising that this doesn't happen more often.
