Default Whats wrong here????

Looking at the week-end racing. FG bigest day and a crowd of 9000. Are the slots this important?LS has this many every week-end for there live racing. Over all LS is several notches below FG in quality of ther racing stock. Is the key to improving the product at LS as simple as Mec selling out or is it like they maintain, legalize slots or the racing suffers. I feel that the upcomming meet will suffer with the Mec Twinspires eliminating aother off site betting. Ls is a very nice facility that contributes a nice slice into the pools to the top tracks via the simo outlet. I personaly feel that propper management is the key and not the need for slots. I look at slots as compition and not a partner.

The last time I was there was when Louie and his Black Cat stable tried to intimadate everyone intimodate everyone, Neil Howard was his main target. I think it was the second meet after the latest fire , Maybe 10 yrs ago. The grandstand was split up into 3 or 4 seperate areas due to the construction. I loved the track and the brokendown ancient facility. Im sure some of this boards posters would call it a dirty rundown facility but I looked at it as unique and quaint,

Yeah, the one time I was there, it didn't look like FG had an otudoor grandstand. They had these weird tiered steps that people could stand or sit on to watch races outside. But all of their seating is indoors. There's a lot of it, but this place isn't all the big. 9k actually seems like it would fill the place pretty good.

you should see it at the horribly misnamed jazzfest in late april/early may when they pack 50,000+ onto those grounds.

guess it helps when they don't have to run horses on the track.
