live 10 min east of calder. Nice cool breeze ( cool for south florida ), a little overcast. Looks like the rain will miss. At least until after 6 p.m.

Calder has actually created some excellent cards this year with full fields on most weekends. People can kid all they want about Calder, but Calder has done a great job attracting top horses on their big days, especially this year.

Usually look forward to Gulfstream, but not as much this year.

Substantail rain received at my house last night. I'm 20min from TBD, but I am sure they got some rain.

If they stay on the turf (and I think they will), it should have a bit of give to it, but not much as we haven't had any rain for at least 4 weeks so I am sure the turf was thirsty.

Aqueduct - Local weather indicating it will stay cold and dry at least through the end of racing today. Still have residual moisture to contend with.

Tomorrow looks a mess.

I've got a tough choice here in a while, as I'm leaving with friends to go Christmas shopping for most of the day. Fairgrounds is my concern as I pre-bet. The feature is a grass stakes and I like Save Big Money, but if the race switches to the main track, I'd take Island Warrior
