Default Poll...

What is worse...
1. Condition of turf at the Breeders Cup
2. Condition of the turf in Pitt tonight

i didn't see standing water on the turf at bc. plus they didn't lay that grass on top of another turf course.

i vote for tonight.

Did you see them pouring the sand on it during the pre game show?

steelers have had trouble with that field from the time it was put in. it doesn't help that the pitt panthers and a couple high school teams play at heinz field.

There are just so many directions that you can go in with this sentence...

The Dolphins just can't get awayfrom these crappy fields. First it was the field in London, now this. Do you get the feeling that if the fish somehow pull this thing off tonight, the next time the Steelers are home you will see them playing on fieldturf.

Sorry I love it.
OLdtimer.

Before they had good drainage and ways
to heat fields we would watch football in
deplorable conditions and it was complete fun.
Guys would get so muddy you could not tell
what team they where on.

Bring back the Ice Bowl as well. With Dallas
losing...

Did'nt any of you guys or girls play football
in the mud and have your shoes so packed with
mud that you would flip big hunks into the faces
of others when you ran?
Great stuff. I love bad
fields.
Cant wait for the first big snow storm during
a game when they cant cover the field.

They played 4 high school championship games there on Friday, Pitt was at home on Saturday, they resodded the field after that and it has been raining for about 24 hours straight now.

Heck these guys tonight are just playing in a bog.
They are barely even muddy, just soaking wet. Its not bad
enough.

Back to a High School game in a small town during
a huge rainstorm. Nothing better. The essence of
playing through the conditions. And its a blast.

Poor Ricky. He is hurt and the turf is too wet to smoke.

playing it and watching it are two different things.
