West Virginia Derby looks like a pretty good race. Zanjero, Dominican, Delightful Kiss, Moyer's Pond, Sam P.(Pletcher), and Slews Tizzy might all take more money than my early choice of Song of Navarone

Here's a Bloodhorse story with ml odds: http://racing.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=40004

I like Song of Navarone too. I dont like the lay off, but he has been getting better each race. Not much speed in this race, he could make an easy lead.

I like Moyer's Pond. The Guid didn't make the trip for the banjos.

no easy lead for Song of Navarone with Slews Tizzy in the race, I think Slews Tizzy might actually get loose and take it all the way.

I dont think anyone will have an "easy lead" if Norjac decides to run.
he is cross-entered to run in Delaware as well and I would think that is where he ends up.

Norjac has speed, but IMO Slews Tizzy is not that fast. He makes the lead in races that have no pace.

I am lucky enough to be leaving tomorrow morning on the van with Moyer's Pond for WV. He looks great and has a really good shot in here. He gets in light at 111 pounds, has been freshened, and gets a nice upgrade with the rider. It should be very exciting and it will be on ESPN at 5pm on Saturday. 10-1 on him is an absolute steal.

I think Delightful Kiss is just plain better than these. You can close at that track and it certainly doesn't hurt to be wide.

Slew's Tizzy last 5 races:

Belmont Stakes(fast track dirt)-bombed

Lone Star Derby(sloppy dirt)- was 3 and 4 wide on the turns and came from off the brisk pace to win by 1 and 3/4th's lengths

Lexington at Keeneland (polytrack)-wired the field

Louisiana Derby, (fast dirt)-bombed

Risen Star(fast dirt)-clipped heels and lost jockey

Turfway (polytrack)- maiden win, pretty much wired the field

I think he will win with his first mount of the day.

Slew's Tizzy wins this easy and you should be able to get a good price on him here with names like Sam P, Dominican, and Zanjero.
