R7 - G1 Diana #6 DANZON - Draw a line through troubled trip in last. She was more than respectable in the G1 Turf Classic on Derby day versus the boys on a yielding Matt Winn course. I also like the fact that Desormeaux will be in the irons. Looks to be sitting on a big one and will offer plenty of value if you can get anywhere around the 6-1 ML. #4 Makderah (Ire) - Blew away the field in the G2 New York and keeps on improving. #2 Meribel - There seems to be plenty of speed lined up and she'll have a nice ground saving trip for Go Go. R8 - G2 AG Vanderbilt #5 Diabolical - Connections have pointed to this race after his gutsy victory in the G3 Maryland Handicap on Preakness day as they decided to skip the Summit of Speed at Calder. #7 Benny the Bull - Will appreciate the early speed to set it up for his late kick and Prado seems fits to hop aboard. R9 - G1 Go For Wand #3 Ermine - G1 Apple Blossom winner is no stranger to shipping and seems to have a class edge versus this company. #5 Ginger Punch - Talented Stornach homebred should have no problems making the transition to two turns. R10 - G1 Whitney #2 Papi Chullo - Talented runner has finally found a barn that knows how to manage a good horse. He's definitely the now horse and should get a nice trip. #3 Brass Hat - 6yr Gelding is just a flat out runner and could make short work of this competition if 100%. #6 Sun King - Making 1st start going two turns this year and just missed in last year's running against HOY Invasor. #7 Magna Graduate - Has the tactical speed to make his presence felt at the wire. PK4 - 2 4 6 with 5 7 with 3 5 with 2 3 6 7 = $48 Ellis Park - PK4 - Every true horseplayer should take part in the 4% takeout. R8 #4 Brewster - Tries the turf after losing as the favorite in last. #10 Vesuvian - Miller having a solid year and Chestnut didn't care for the inside post in debut. R9 #3 Tis a Man - Major player coming from across the state. #5 La Bala - Asmussen runner will enjoy the better post position. #8 Big N Ready - Cain off to hot start at the meet and he faced better at CD. R10 - Audubon Oaks 50K #4 Aidan's Bella - Has been solid for Proctor and seems ready for 1st stakes try. #5 Katerbug - Broke maiden at ELP and coming off strong effort in Louisville. #10 Alice Belle - Texas shipper fits well here. #8 Bavarian Belle - Should be forwardly placed and capable of holding on. R11 #1 Iron Dragon - Two time winner at quirky one mile distance at ELP. #11 Thunder Boot - Just missed at 23-1 versus similar company. PK4 - 4 8 with 3 5 8 with 4 5 8 10 with 1 11 = S48 for a buck or $24 for $.50 Arlington Park R9 - G2 Washington Park Handicap #7 Mustanfar - Not facing any world beaters and he's been knocking on the door in Graded company on the Poly. Good Racing Luck

![]() I like your bottom two in the Whitney better than the top two. I think the pace will be hotly contested setting it up for the late runners like Magna and Sun King and maybe Diamond Stripes.
Also like your pick in the Washington Park, but would throw in Minister's Joy and also Lewis Michael because of the big fig, but he is of course, unproven at the distance and may fizzle. Last edited by cal828 : 07-27-2007 at 11:39 PM. |
