Default twenty horse field

I have read a couple of comments about Great Hunter bouncing around. Maybe I need to watch the replays several more times, but it appeared to me ,one of, if not the cleanest, with minimal bumping, that I have seen. The best horses carved the best trips with there jockeys doing well and the trainers prepping them for the task.

I agree, it was about as clean as a 20 horse stampede can be.

The best horse came through today... In the past the best horse( Point Given or empire maker) for example were compromised. The Best horse doesn't always win the derby, the horse with the best trip usualy does. Thats why it is the best race of the year to bet.

Don't blame the field size, blame the way early speed is paramount in racing in the US today.... A 20 horse field is only a problem because we have 17 horses who are need the lead types at the first or second call to run their best race...
