Default A Pletcher Oaks/Derby Double?

It is looking very likely that Pletcher will get Rags To Riches, Octave, Cotton Blossom & Panty Raid into the Oaks and several of his Derby prospects are looking very good...so will he do it?

One would think he has a strangle-hold on the Oaks. Rags to Riches looms a HUGE favorite and Octave did nothing to hurt herself last week despite the extraordinarily low Beyer. But a double might be tough.

No... going to Ky next weekend. But this card is good enough to call in sick to work for!

You said it, I cant wait to see them, especially Showing Up in the Makers Mark Mile, which is always a tough heat. Awesome day of racing!

Remember last year? ding dong battle between Artie/Miesques? '05 BC Mile winner and '06 BC Mile winner, doesn't get any better than that.

I have a beautiful signed, framed picture of Showing Up winning the Hollywood Derby thanks to a friend out @ HP. Been waiting for this guy to destroy this year's turf division.

Yes I do, I singled Miesques in the pick 4 and I left off the Overbrook MSW winner of Pletcher's in the last. In the paddock before that race I talked to a friend of mine who told the OVerbrook horses was the goods. I hedged and made some money, but I left a lot at Keeneland that day. Havent 'capped it yet, but I dont think that layoff will hurt Showing Up. He's a badass and his Hollywood Derby was the official coming out party-absolutely dominating.

I don't think Raid will even win on Friday. Watch out for Kimmel's Silence Dogood in that race, and watch out for the maiden she beat in the last. That one runs today and is actually Pletcher's filly. The name is Sarah's Prize in the 5th at Keeneland.
