Default 3/21: Gulfstream (Late P4)

Big GP 5th race $1 super Monday with P6 single on top was better ($886.00) than anything that came back in the multi-race bets.. Here's Wednesday's 6th-9th 'quick and dirty'...

GULFSTREAM

6th: CLM, 4+, 7f

1. #2 Letter's Legacy 3-1 2nd
2. #7 Truer Than True 5-1 4th
A. #1 Gold Timber 5-2 WON
B. #3 SCR

7th: ALW/N1X, F&M-4+, 12f-T

1. #1 Isabel Away 3-1 2nd
2. #2 The Legend Grows 4-1
A. #5 Hostess 5-1 WON
B. #6 Quaderna 6-1

LONGSHOT/EXOTICS ADD: #8 Optimist Girl 10-1

8th: OC/N1X, F&M-4+, 1m

1. #2 Mia Mia 4-1
2. #7 El Coyote 3-1
A. #3 Portafortuna 9-5

2. #7 Joyful Acres 3-1
A. #10 Europium 10-1
B. #6 Golden Femme 10-1 WON

EXOTICS ADD: #4 Tia Dia 6-1 3rd

<$50 P3/P4 Plays:

6: 1-2-7
7: 1-2-5-6-8
8: 2-(3)-7
9: 2-(6-7)

P4: 3x5x3x1 (singling the #2 in the 9th) = $45
P3: 3x5x1 (single the #2) = $15 (R6-7-8)
P3: 5x2x3 (exclude #3 in the 8th) = $30 (R7-8-9)

Good luck!
Steve

Tap, I've not followed your plays closely, though I looked at some past ones where you had noted their results.

It's an out-there player that has the guts to post one pick per race on a board, and I applaud you for that. Keep posting and much good luck today.

He nails plenty of winners with them, and at prices that cover the ones that don't..

And that's the beauty of Flat-WIN betting. I love that.

#4 Tippsy looks to have the late kick to prevail here. Speed falls apart. Record at this distance gives me the confidence.

Win #4

I appreciate your kind words. there are many different ways to approach this passion of ours. although I go through periods where my hit rate seems low, you do not need many to keep you in the black if you are hitting at a price. You just have to be willing to think long term and be able to handle the dry spells when they happen. Kudos to Steve for pointing out what everyone should consider a win betting maxim.

Is there a reasson you dont like Greenery in the 7th ? I took a long look at her this morning and think she is one of those horses who finally turned the cornor, it took her a while to break her maiden but i definitly think she can win in this spot, i made a win/place bet on her, just wondering why you dont like her ?

No real reason especially. Just didn't make the cut in a competitive race. I hate these turf mararthons... inscrutable. You hit 'em or you don't.

Figures...I finally try to beat Pletch and his horse crawls nears the front end and shifts gears in the stretch...When will I learn when to go against him???
