It is not concussion related, he is the permanent starting QB.
Im happy for him, he deserves it.

So much for Kolb being 'the guy'. Dude gets three snaps and then adios. Life as a Philly QB.

Just from a football point of view, Vick gives them a better chance to win. He also makes them more explosive and likely sells more tickets. Its a win win win for everyone, even those road games. Hate him or love him, I think he will still sell tickets, even if its for people who want to come and see him fail.

thats fucl<ed up.

give the guy a 1/2 audition to be the starting QB against the one of the top 3 D's in football and with the worst O-line in football?

and then bench him!!!!

Do I have to root for a dog murderer all season???

Good to see common sense prevailing with the Birds' coaching staff on this one

"One dimensional" ... are you joking, slot???

Mike has like the fourth or fifth highest passer rating in the league so far … not to mention what he can do with his legs.

This guy is hungry, confident, and clearly ready to lead this offense.

I think you meant Green Bay. Kolb played against Green Bay the first week of the season. When did Philly play against Pittsburgh, Baltimore or the jets?

I will agree about the worst line in football part. When you make Detroit look like the 85 bears, there are some serious protection issues.

If Detroit looked like the '85 Bears, I don't think the Eagles would have put 35 on the board the other day.

I'll always contend that a team that wants to win won't have Michael Vick as their starting quarterback. It didn't work in Atlanta, and it won't work in Philly. This is a 6-10 team waiting to happen.

P.S. - the Lions have the worst secondary - nay, the worst defense overall - in the entire league. If not for LeSean McCoy having the best game of his career, you're talking about an Eagles loss to the woeful Lions and an 0-2 start. Anybody who actually watched the game the other day (I'm presuming only AntiTrust and myself did based on comments here) would realize that Vick was hardly the reason the Eagles won the game. This isn't baseball; stats can definitely lie.

Against Green Bay, he threw for 175 yards and ran for 103

Against Detroit, he threw for 284 and ran for 37

If anything, he is one of the most multi dimensional players in the game. That is one thing you can't dog him for.

Sorry, i couldnt resist that last line.

Want to wager on the 6-10 thing?

It didn't "work" in atlanta? Didnt they make it to the NFC Title game? Is that not working?

He got sacked 6 times and there was pressure all day. Hence the 85 bears comment. And if you indeed watched the game you would see that they sent blitz after blitz against them all day long. You did watch the game didnt you?

Vick isn't a passer, never has been, never will be. The Eagles are a .500 team with him or without him. Running QBs don't win Super Bowls. Funny how Kolb was just the means to the end - excuse to run McNabb outta Philly. It's either that or Reid is/was wrong about Kolb.

More blind Vick fans.

Are you kidding? He was a purely run first QB for a good part of his career. That was always the complaint against him. That is why they wanted to run him out of town in his first couple of years after taking over for Montana. Even Rice complained about it in the beginning. Why do you think Charles Haley had to be traded before he literally killed Young? Added dimension? Please. He was the definition of a running QB.

How about Elway while we are at it? Ran a little?
