I see the top 3 as:

Rachel Alexandra
Justwhistledixie
Flying Spur

Do you think this tri will pay anything?

The big money is made when the favorite runs out. Spend a little more with the mind set that you may take a loss on a winning ticket. If things break your way you may hit a windfall. A single of RA in the win spot on a Tri would be a huge waste.

I disagree. If you can beat the 2nd choice in the place and show spots you can make money with the trifecta. Should you bet RA - ALL - ALL? No, but if you use her with the right combination of price horses you can do well.

Yeah, as long as you're not wheeling a million combinations it can be profitable.

Interesting that Leparoux is on Justwhistledixie. From what I understood that was only his mount in the Bonnie Miss because Garcia was in Dubai.

If you believe anyone can beat Justwhistledixie or Flying Spur for 2nd or 3rd, I agree that money can be made here.

I said TOPS... you never know how all the people who only bet on big days are going to bet.

1:2 is a possibility, 2:5 is more likely.

I'm going to play a small Oaks/ Derby Double.

I know you are kidding, but I can't "empty my wallet" in even a one horse race at 1:2 or less.
