Having no shot has not stopped Coolmore in the past. Quite frankly they have nothing to lose.

For every Dylan Thomas, Oratorio or tragically George Washington it just takes a Giant's Causeway or Johannesburg to reap the significant stallion fees that make it worth it.

From a handicapping risk/reward point of view given the new surface question it is rarely represents any value.

As was Strawberry Road, a vastly underrated race horse.

I am less familiar with Strawberry Road, but I believe it ran second to Pebbles in the '85 Turf.

Oh my God thank you for not biting off my head!

I'm gonna go and take off my neck brace...

Yea.

Does Saturday's Hawthrone Gold Cup eliminate Gaint Oak from consideration or improve his odds based in the trip he got?

It seems to me that if he has the opportunity the Ken Ramsey will send Headache to the Classic.

Any chance this race overfills? If so what are the rules for getting in?

A maximum of 14 starters (with 2 Also Eligibles) are allowed in each of the fifteen Breeders’ Cup races.

In the case of an oversubscribed fourteen horse field, the first horse(s) selected will be the winner(s) of Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races in the corresponding Breeders’ Cup division, the next horses will be ranked at pre-entry based on the total number of Graded Stakes points they have collected during the year until a total of seven horses have been ranked based on Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races and Graded Stakes Points.

The Panel will be free to establish its own criteria or ranking, so that high-quality horses of demonstrated ability will have the opportunity to participate in Championships Races regardless of earlier participation in graded events.

His broodmare sire, Tights, was a stakes winner on dirt in CA, and was closely related to the brilliiant, but over-hyped miler Furiously as well as the good CA sire Bolger (sire of Sea Cadet).

I thought he was supposed to run in the Cox Plate in Australia. The Champion-Classic double wheeling back from the Arc seems like a tall order, especially after making hard work of it for the majority of his campaign this year.

For Headache; a 99 BSF for the race, a win at the distance, a Tapit out of a Woodman mare and a win around two turns at the track.

He makes more sense than many and when he shows up in the gate I'm going to have to take a long look.

Headache has a great chance...to finish 7th beaten 10 lengths or so after being 14th in the early going. Maybe he can outfinish Stay Thirsty in the final 70 yards.

That statement probably lacks context since hardly any top-flight Aussie horses run here, though.

(Starcraft, by the way, did not run a bad race in the 2005 Classic at Belmont.)
If Starcraft had run a winning race I would have cashed a massive P4. Took him over St.Liam. Wish I would have l known Dutrow was so confident he bet $100,000 to win.

I was alive in the Pick 3 and my friend who I went with the Pick 4...

We needed to lose a horse so when we were at the windows STUPIDLY decided it would be Saint Liam.

(We did both think of Sightseek though when he won and had done well enough that day to be happy and shut up I am not redboarding)!

For the So You Think people... you all do realize he runs in the Champion Stakes on Satruday, right?
