"his breeding indicates turf preference but he handled the surface in Dubai so there is no reason he might not enjoy dirt." its okay to admit you were wrong.

I guess it wouldn't help to tell you that the Hyman Roth character from Godfather II is modeled after Meyer Lansky.

Pretty sad - but I've never made it through a whole Godfather movie. I've seen parts of them. |

![]() Follow your own advice. Where did I say the Dubai surface was dirt? All I said, again, was that he has run on turf and the surface in Dubai, he won and placed on turf and ran a close second in Dubai so there is nothing that indicates that he might not run well on dirt...I can't say he will anymore than you can say he won't...all I said was that I find him more interesting than others this weekend should he run in the Derby!

Mrs. John Magnier’s Master of Hounds, who was beaten a nose in the March 26 UAE Derby (UAE-II) in his 3-year-old debut, could make his next start in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), trainer Aidan O’Brien told the British website “And They’re Off.” The other option would be the Qipco Two Thousand Guineas (Eng-I) Master of Hounds, a son of Kingmambo – Silk and Scarlet, by Sadler's Wells, bred in Kentucky by Silk and Scarlet Syndicate, ran an exceptionally game race in the 1 3/16-mile UAE Derby, losing a head bob to the Godolphin-owned filly Khawlah, winner of the Al Tayer Motors UAE Oaks (UAE-III). It was his first start since finishing sixth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (gr. II). Prior to that he was third in the group I Racing Post Trophy. “Master Of Hounds is in the English 2000 Guineas (Eng-I) and would have a Kentucky Derby option," O'Brien said. “We will see how he is and the next couple of weeks will tell us a lot. “The Kentucky Derby is a great race. He handled the surface well out in Dubai and he's a horse that has tactical speed and we were delighted with his run. I’m sure the race will be considered and will be spoken about.” Read more: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...#ixzz1I0dGrT54

![]() We've found this year's Stately Victor.
Joes Blazing Aaron, wire-to-wire winner of the Grade 3 Palm Beach Stakes on the Gulfstream Park turf in his last start, has been moved into the barn of trainer Mike Maker and will try to move into the Kentucky Derby picture by running next in the $750,000 Blue Grass Stakes on Polytrack at Keeneland. |
