![]() Sorry to hear that, but running the filly is just stupid; she has no chance (and I like her a lot).

![]() Who's considerably better than her? If there were ever a year to take a shot with a filly, this is the one. And I hope I don't have to hear about Eight Belles as a reason not to run.

![]() I was looking forward to betting her in the Oaks, but with the new developments, I see no reason why she doesn't have a shot in the big race now.

![]() You won't hear that reason from me - Eight Belles has nothing to do with it. I don't see what she's done to prove she deserves a shot; she won one race, the Bonnie Miss. It was a nice race, but hardly spectacular. I think she'll finish much closer to last than she will to first.

How many of the likely Derby starters have more than one significant win to their name? Eskendereya only had two, and he was going to be the heavy favorite. Why should having only one big win disqualify Devil May Care if it doesn't disqualify those other horses? |

Well, I don't give Stately Victor a chance because he's a poly horse and Discreetly Mine doesn't belong in the race. Dean's Kitten? Same as Stately Victor. The crop is not all that good, but then again just because they aren't that good doesn't mean Devil May Care has a chance to beat them; I just don't think she's as good as the colts (not that that's saying much). Was she your KY Oaks selection? |

![]() completely disagree with it being stupid, and her having no chance. many entered have a chance at this point.

![]() Were you really that impressed with her Bonnie Miss that you thought Derby at that point?

![]() she's been as impressive as just about any colt who is headed to churchill saturday. yes, she had two bad efforts after the frizette, both easily tossed. she apparently hated the synthetic in the juvie, and of course had a bad time at the gate at the fairgrounds. you say she 'only won the bonnie miss', but she beat two nice horses in there, amen hallelujah is nothing to sneer at. she's got the breeding, she's got the speed-i can think of many horses in the upcoming race who i think have a better shot than her at being closer to last than to first. any three year old who has an impressive race in the spring is automatically a oaks/derby thought. if i were them, with eskendereya out, i'd choose saturday over friday.

shes a very nice filly and i dont think shes going to be last at all. she will probably be among the top ten finishers. but her performances on track thus far have not been that impressive to consider her a legit threat. |
