Who's considerably better than her? If there were ever a year to take a shot with a filly, this is the one. And I hope I don't have to hear about Eight Belles as a reason not to run.

I was looking forward to betting her in the Oaks, but with the new developments, I see no reason why she doesn't have a shot in the big race now.

You won't hear that reason from me - Eight Belles has nothing to do with it. I don't see what she's done to prove she deserves a shot; she won one race, the Bonnie Miss. It was a nice race, but hardly spectacular. I think she'll finish much closer to last than she will to first.

What has Line of David done other than one race? What has Mission Impazible done other than one race? What has Stately Victor done other than one race? American Lion? Dean's Kitten? Ice Box? Endorsement? Awesome Act? Homeboykris? Discreetly Mine? And please tell me what was more 'spectacular' about any of their wins.

How many of the likely Derby starters have more than one significant win to their name? Eskendereya only had two, and he was going to be the heavy favorite. Why should having only one big win disqualify Devil May Care if it doesn't disqualify those other horses?

Well, I don't give Stately Victor a chance because he's a poly horse and Discreetly Mine doesn't belong in the race. Dean's Kitten? Same as Stately Victor. The crop is not all that good, but then again just because they aren't that good doesn't mean Devil May Care has a chance to beat them; I just don't think she's as good as the colts (not that that's saying much). Was she your KY Oaks selection?

So I come back to my original question: who is significantly better than her? If she's so overmatched, you should be able to name at least 10 horses that are significantly better than her. I can think of maybe two.

And why aren't you railing against Stately Victor, Discreetly Mine and Dean's Kitten running? Why is Devil May Care singled out as a stupid entrant?

I don't think those horses belong, but I'm not going to rail against them being there because I'm not a fan of those horses. They have the earnings, they have the right to be there even if I think they're overmatched. I like Devil May Care - that's why I would prefer to see her run where she has a chance to win. Obviously we disagree; we only have to wait a week to see who's right.

It's easier to be right when you pick one horse out of 20 to not win. I say Conveyance won't win and doesn't belong.

I agree-she has really done nothing and seems the best reason to like her and reason why they wanna run her is she can go the distance???

There are about 4 or 5 horses who have no business and are tosses no matter what for me

Stately Victor-Horse who was nothing until runs big on Poly, now he has a chance. Didnt we see in past years what happens with horses who run big there

Discreetly Mine-

Dean's Kitten-Another 1 doesn't need an explanation

Line of David- who if the Arkansas Derby was another 10 feet would have been 3rd and not even be in the Derby.

Distance? How about the field being terrible and being far from the least likely winner on paper?

Hey if they wanna run her,run her and u wanna bet her,bet her

I dont mind all the women who make the $2 bets and u putting your money on her,it just brings her odds down and other ones up.

I am just saying that what I keep hearing. We think she will like the longer distance, the distance is perfect we just gotta see how she works out

This assessment of the AD is wrong. Welcome to the pools.
