Even better looking when Dickie Small got rid of that hack Vincent Bracciale.

I'm not knocking Ogygian, mind you. He was a pretty nice horse. I just couldn't see a total speedball son of Damascus worth 100+ mil, that's all.

Ketoh, I thought he was going to be a real good one too. Lukas at his finest.

See the bridle BB had on? An overcheck is almost never seen now. Funny that in all those pictures not a single horse is wearing a figure 8 bridle that 1/2 the field in any 2011 race now wears.

His mom was special too,a throwback beyond compare when it came to durability and gameness. She travelled outside of restricted company in Maryland to Saratoga and suffered her first defeat to Blitey in the Test stakes. Years later that edition of the test came back strong, from a breeding standpoint, when both mares produced back to back BC sprint winners.

Thanks Revidere for the great photos.

Jameela? I never saw her race, but her son sure took after her - he danced every dance and did it remarkably well. His back to back Met Miles were really special accomplishments to me -plus his win in the Sprint. Jolley kept running him at middle distances, where he acquitted himself well, but Lukas made the right choice in turning him into a sprinter/miler. He turned out to be a good, solid sire as well.......hard to believe he's in his late 20's.
