The point is there is a right way of doing things and a wrong way of doing things. After the first game of the season isn't the right time to talk about it the way he did. It makes him look bad.

Some things can be argued, one right one wrong. Even I have come off the Ravens a bit tomorrow night. This is a slam dunk, he is the GOAT. Chris Carter got 2 maybe 3 more years because Randy Moss. He has said it. The attention he draws is insane, like Jordan... Makes EVERYONE ELSE BETTER.

He still should be the highest payed receiver in the NFL. He opens up the field for everyone else, not to mention what he does for the running game.... He had some minor issues early on, but please tell me when this guy does not show up. He is above GOAT... We need a new word for him. He might not only be the best wideout ever, he might be the best most talented, explosive freakish ATHLETE EVER. Remember that Tom Cruise movie... He should be saying **** YOU PAY ME.

You of all people should ever talk about the right way of doing things. Are you kidding me and everyone else with this? Your like a textbook for bad form, and bad person. But somehow you have certain people clowned, its comical.

I'm a textbook for bad form? Are you self aware at all?

Instead of this nonsense, look at the topic. You think the right time to talk about not getting the money you think you deserve is at the post game press conference after your team just won game 1?

It makes him look bad to people who don't matter at all.

Look who's breaking down the team after the game...

That's not going to endear himself to many people. He should just keep his mouth shut and be the player he can be. If he does that there should be some sort of pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
You just can't bitch and moan after the first week.
He's kept his mouth shut to the point where he's ignored the press every chance till now.

The press should have an axe to grind with him ... and they always have. But it was nice to see one of them call him the last honest man in the NFL.

Quote:
FOXBORO - Randy Moss spoke the truth yesterday, and many people wanted to cover their ears.

About an hour after the Patriots [team stats] sent the Cincinnati Bengals packing with a 38-24 thumping, Moss stepped to a podium at Gillette Stadium looking like Kurt Cobain with a baseball cap on top. He came as he is - which may be as the last honest man in pro football.

All summer long, reporters tried to get Moss to comment on his future in New England, on Darrelle Revis, on whether he’s happy, on the reality of being a 33-year-old wide receiver in a league that seldom values such a player regardless of his numbers.

Yesterday he addressed those issues, and a lot of people didn’t like what he said or when he said it - which was when he felt like saying it.

Not many Americans like the truth anymore because it’s often inconvenient. It’s not a cartoon or a simplistic homily. It’s not black or white. It’s complicated, nuanced, seldom what you think it is. That is especially true in pro sports, as Moss made clear.

“This is a business, and if you understand the business, then you’ll understand where I’m coming from,” Moss said. “But if you don’t understand the business, this is not football. Football leaves you in college and high school. This is a job. If you understand the nature of this job, then you understand where I’m coming from.”

People say they want to know what players are thinking, but when one tells them, a lot of people don’t want to hear it. Reporters get upset when a player won’t talk. Then he does, and they get upset because he didn’t say what they think is appropriate. Then don’t ask.

But since you did . . .

Yeah, but I would think that he addressed the media and made his statement well after he broke the team down.

Also if I was another team with him on my radar for next season, this would stick in the back of my mind. Nobody wants to deal with a malcontent. Look how many places T.O. has worn out his welcome. If Randy is really looking to get paid, he should just play like Randy Moss can and keep his mouth shut.

He will get paid. He wants to be paid by New England - and right now.

If they don't sign him before the offseason - it's a lock that Brett Favre will get his longtime wish and Moss will be back in Minnesota next year where the fans still love him and some still wear his old Vikes jerseys to games. 100% Cheese Free - the big bodybuilder Vikings fan they always show on TV - he's made a cameo in Foxboro and caught Moss after a New England touchdown while still wearing his Vikes outfit.

If Moss isn't resigned and the Patriots want to wait around for the collective bargaining agreement - I bet he'd play in Minnesota over New England next year if offered the exact same deal by both teams.

Brett Favre might look old and washed up - but if you give him Moss on the outside to stretch the field in a big way almost every play - and Adrian Peterson in the backfield with the safety playing back on the warning tracks - Favre will undoubtedly have the best season by a quarterback in NFL history. There will be no risky throws - only mismatches to exploit. The defense in Minny right now is also 100 million times better than it was in the Moss/Culpepper era.
