I don't know ...

But I would absolutely unload on a Riboletta-Sightseek exacta going 9fs against those 12 females at Belmont.

Sightseek was a machine at Belmont as well.

Is 2000 really part of this decade or last decade though? I know some say the former and some the latter.

Some people think 2000 is part of the 90's?

No Medagila d'Oro? Hell, I'd take Pleasantly Perfect over Bernardini.

That is what I'm thinking would happen, unless Smarty decided to hook him early. Then GZ might get softened enough to get caught late.

Ghostzapper was probably scratched.

I was kind of surprised when I looked at Thoro-Graph's numbers in their archive .. they have Riboletta's two Belmont Park races way faster than any race Tiznow ever ran in his life.

The Beyer's don't quite reflect that at all.

Riboletta got just 115 Beyers in both of her Belmont Park races.

Tiznow had a 116 and 117 in his two Breeders Cup Classic wins. Also a 117 in his 5 length Santa Anita Handicap win. His fastest Beyer was a 119 in his half length win as a 3yo over fellow 3yo Captain Steve in the Goodwood - his final BC Classic prep.

TG has a runaway scale .. so it's insane to compare horses from different time periods .. but Tiznow and Riboletta ran at the same time.

Some folks definitely think a decade ends with 2009 and not 2010.

Riboletta would have run Zenyatta into the ground.

The decade started on Jan 1st 2000 and ends on Dec 31st 2009.

The next one will start on Jan 1st 2010 and will end on Dec 31st 2019.

Tell me you knew?

If I had $50 to bet on this proposed hypo race I would bet it all on Ghostzapper to win. He would be by far the most likely winner in my opinion, and many of the rest are too difficult to distinguish for the 2nd & 3rd place spots.

If the race was at Churchill instead of Belmont, and Calvin was up on Street Sense, I'd probably bet $40 to win on Ghostzapper and $10 to win on Street Sense. The horse is a big candidate to finish last in this group in all likelihood, but I say if you see Borel on a longshot in a CD route race....you should bet it.....even if horses like Ghostzapper and Mineshaft are in the field.
