There is no logic to this statement. It probably will come true though, as only 1 horse will win the Classic, and if Gio Ponti is the favorite, he has, in theory, about a 33% chance of winning the race, so he will most likely lose.

What lacks logic is saying Gio Ponti, by far the most accomplished horse who will run in the Classic has no chance, in your opinion. Or You dont think he can win. Same thing. Its an absurd thing to think, but by you saying it, at least in your mind, makes you somehow credible if he does indeed lose (which statistically speaking is the most likely scenario).

Its like me saying the Yankees wont win the World Series from the beginning of the season. Its very hard to win a worl series, much like winning a race with 14 or 15 horses. If I said they had "no chance" for the last 8 years, theoretically I would be right, but me saying it is still absurd when basically they have been the most logical winner just about every year.

Get what I am saying? You say Gip Ponti cant win, but you're willing to bet a lot of money on Richard's Kids.

THUD!

And here I thought they just didn't want to embarrass our "top" horses once again.

Some try very hard to be easy to despise ... Irwin does it effortlessly.
