Prado is named on a few stakes mounts on Saturday's Fairgrounds card (Dry Martini, African Skies, and Nownownow). He must not have the mount on Hello Broadway in the Tampa Bay Derby on Saturday. Maybe he is planning on getting Dunkirk back if Gomez sticks with Pioneer of the Nile. He could also pick Imperial Council back up for the Wood Memorial.

What a ****in joke. Did Prado/his agent prepare at all for the ride? Do either have any knowledge of FG?
Now this is indeed bush league. Making the wrong decisions
in a split second is one thing. But not preparing for a horse and
connections that have Derby aspirations (or really any other) is
inexcusable. They have access to information and should take
advantage of it. Not knowing the track or horse is horribly
unprofessional at this level.

And...
Prado will find a horse for the Derby.

Prado on West Side Bernie next week in the Lane's End and Imperial Council in the Wood.

As for Prado knowing Fair Grounds? He won the LA Derby on Peace Rules, yes?

He rode Giant Oak before the Risen Star, it was the only other poor race in the colt's career. Maybe it's just not a good fit.

More pumping less whip work ??

If Prado had kept briskly pumping and driving NowNowNow throughout the stretch, instead of periodically going into that slow-motion whipping motion and seemingly ineffective "showing of the whip" he is prone to, does anyone think he wins the Muniz?

That is something that I really don't know for sure regarding whipping and driving... It seems that on a lot of horses they race better when pumped and driven and don't respond well to the whip.
Another one I am not sure of from today's races is in the Tampa Derby - Trujillo keeps whipping Join in the Dance and doesn't do a much urging driving with a pumping motion at all. Musket Man was clearly best, but the whipping and lack of driving seemed like a detriment.

Did anyone else have an opinion on these stretch runs ?

still learning what I think about certain jockey details like this...
