Throw in the trainer too. Dutrow is the one shooting his mouth off. Show up in the Woodward and let Curlin and Commentator expose you for the fraud that you are.

I really wish they would have given it one more shot on the turf. Yeah, he didn't show his best, but there was a chance he could have made a jump in his second on the weeds. The plan is pretty boring for US race fans unless Dutrow and Iavarone get some balls and take a shot.

People should talk **** to Iavarone when they see him, call him a coward, a chicken, a *****.......If I read the guy correctly, he acts first and thinks second so get under this guys skin and he might just bite (in running Big Brown against Curlin)

I understand that these type of people (calling people out in public) are annoying, but in this case, it would be for a good cause.

When my boy Shane Laviolette was around these parts, verbal confrontations were plentiful

Another question, would Curlin have caught Commentator had he been in the Whitney? I didnt think so either. And would the pace scenario been that much different? Its not like Curlin has any early speed.

Too good on dirt for anyone? Hes not Cigar or Skip Away. This is a horse who just last summer last to Any Given Saturday convincingly. I think thats a pretty strong statement Pgard.
He is the best on dirt at distance.
All Commentator needs is some speed with him
and he folds. (BTW I love the fact a horse this old is still running at such
an impressive level). Commentator will not meet Curlin.
We really dont know how fast Curlin is.
He runs classic distances with no need to hurry given his stamina.
I know he was damn fast the first race
I ever noticed him.

I just dont think he was bad enough to drop the grass.
Obviously Assmussen knows a lot more than I and they did
not like how he performed enough to go farther with the experiment.
I like experiments.

he can't get most money earned with second place checks. so back to where he wins...i'd imagine that's why jess jackson says it's not impossible that curlin could race next year-if he's close but not quite to cigars total, he'll run in '09-til he cashes enough checks.

Let's see,

this year = A P Arrow, Barcola, Frost Giant, Mast Track, Notional, Student Council.

next year = Colonel John, Harlem Rocker, Macho Again, Mint Lane, etc.

Answer: Push, but like this year's Travers, at least they should be good betting races.

True.
There are the lists we all must be on top of.

Yes. And if the rest of the speed misses the break and one or more of the other contenders breaks a leg, he'll be even tougher.
