Smooth Air at 159-1 was the only one I'd even look at. Probably a closing sprinter but at those odds, worth a shot. I like Giant Moon as well but 52-1 is about right given that if he gets to the gate I'd expect him to be 20-1. The pool sucks with only 23 entries (not to mention, the ones THEY select might be different from what the public actually wants... in 2004 there was an outcry after Smarty Jones was left out of Pool 2, and the "all others" went off easily favored)... I've been saying that since inception.

As an aside, I'd love to know who bet Majestic Warrior down to 18-1. Do they think Mott could heal Lazarus?? I could be 20 grand richer on May 3rd.

I thought Z Fortune, for having run second to Pyro this weekend, was terribly overlaid. I bet him, the other "Z" horse and, yes, I'll admit it, Blackberry Road.

In the Fillies I used A To The Croft and Backseat Rhythm. I suppose I play more for the entertainment/gambling as opposed to a typical race where I play to make $. It'd be nice to not have to hedge on one of those horses come May.

The Future Wager is a fun bet, with lots of potential.

I never, ever make future bets... but this year I put $10 on Yankee Bravo. An interesting horse and not a big enough bet to feel bad about if he doesn't make it to the Derby.
