Speaking of funny stories...

has anyone else ever gone to pay for something and mistaken their NYRA Rewards card or other betting card for their credit card and handed it to the cashier?

I do it all the time with my Subway card.

When I tried to get a NYRA card - I was originally rejected.

However, I had a friend who knows a few people at NYRA and he made a few calls and told me the situation was taken care of - and as long as I went to see so and so I was gold.

As it turned out - I ended up in some office hidden away in the back of the Saratoga grandstand - with a detective examining my social security card with a magnifying glass.

Turns out - someone with a crazy mexican name already had a NYRA card using my social security number - and since I put down the wrong phone number (I don't want those jackasses calling me) they assumed I was trying to steal the identity of some beaner.

Then I started betting some doubles, at which point the operator said " There's no 11 in the next race. " Sure there is I said. Then she realized her error and was taking my bets at Turfway.....and they were in the gate at Turfway. Luckily we cancelled the Turfway bet and moved to Gulfstream. No big deal.

So now I'm half-assed watching the 8th at Turfway while I wait for Gulfstream and as they go over the wire I notice the 3 wins. That's funny, I think, as I guess I wish I hadn't bet doubles and realized my mistake. Then I see the odds.....he's 29-1!

He got DQ'd.
Wow, that was funny. I think you should send this story to some of the late night talk shows.

If you really confused me with a druken Eli Manning....

It's war!

The black Randy Moss will hop on Discreet Cat - ride him over to your house - and do things to you that will no doubt cause you mental and physical anguish.

Lucky enough for me Discreet Cat would spit the bit before he even reached the outer limits of Saratoga Springs.
