Default Malibu

First, yes I'm crazy so I may be way off base, BUT, Ididn'tdoanything has some amazing closing speed. Yes, he's cheap but I think he'll get a piece.

Guess I'm the only one thinking this but will place a little wager. I figure it'll pay $10 just to show.

Talking

after seeing the 2nd race, I made myself go through the trouble of figuring out who in the heck Johnny Eves is.

Let Mikie try it! Hope you did....really looked the best on paper and nice when you cap a race and see that it comes in just like you thought.

Well good luck to you.

Personally I'm in denial and refuse to give up on Austin jumping up for a piece of it.

Thrilled to see Great Hunter and Horse Greeley in the same race and i like Incriminate.

Not playing it..... just a fun race to watch.

C'mon Austin... show these big boys you're alright.

So is Bob Black Jack the real deal or did we just witness one of the slowest G1s for older males in recent history?

Do you mean Johnny Eves? Yes I think hes the real deal but he will be more suited for distances between 6.5 f to one mile. He benifited from a classic ride by David Flores. Sat nicely behind the knuckle-head speed horses and just shot out of the barrell.

Bob Black Jack won a 2yo State Bred Stakes earlier in the card in 1:20.37. Johnny Eves went 1:21.08.

Took a sub 44 half by 25 maiden claimers to get somebody to make up ground from behind.

Great handicapping, a $12.80 winner and a horse that pays $28 to place...

By "somebody" I hope you didn't mean the winner since he was about 1/2 length from the lead at the pace call like a lot of the other winners on the card today. Nice final time for maiden claimers, eh.

Yeah, you're right. Garrett asked him the whole way,and was 2 lengths off on the backstretch. If you own a rater, why bother running?
