On some of his British form, Adagio could win this with his legs tied together, but I haven't really been able to follow him since he went across the pond. Has he held his form? He has been known to be rather inconsistant in the past. He won The Craven will a stupid amount in hand and then was strongly fancied for the 2000 Guineas but was a no show, the same could be said about his run in the Dante at York.
Mr Napper Tandy on the other hand was probably too consistant for his own good (and handicap mark). Off the top of my head he was never out of the first two in all of his starts here in the UK. Finishing second to good horses like Creachadoir and Tariq. He shouldn't be underestimated. |
the return of great hunter..........

Given the shady condition regarding the track I think it would be best served to watch the santa anita races for a while before investing....I heard last weekend (9 days ago) they threw a bunch of sand on the surface and wanted to do some works and it just turned into a quagmire.
Whatever fix they have in place is just a complete band aid. |
Divine Park is back!

At least there is still the turf course to wager on. |
Santa Anita officials still wary of track surface condition, "We don't know what will happen when it rains again... we may have no other choice but to treat it like the old dirt and then tear it out when the meet ends."
The CHRB stubs its toe again. MORONS |
In the Sir Beaufort,i'll use 2 horses. Whatsthescript is a nice horse, but I also think Monterey Jazz will be a bitch to run down.If take a 3rd it will be Rutledge Cat,because Bejarano-Frankel are pretty much like dogs stuck together right now. So,my guess is the R CAT is live(for Bejarano to get off Frankel's horse.)Still say M JAZZ gunna try to open up and leave them.

SA Opening Day
Malibu - Race 7
Really think only two horses can win this one. #2 Les Grand Trois - Frankel/Bejarano 4-1 #3 EZ Warrior - Baffert/Smith 8-1 Leaning towards Les Grand Trois Sir Beaufort - Race 8 Wide open race and like 3 here all on the outside #10 Stoneside 8-1 #12 Adagio 15-1 #13 Twilight Metoer 4-1 Seen Dutrow do this before and Adagio has the best past number to shoot for. Enticing... Race 2 Love #6 Bob Black Jack at 3-1 here. Anything above 2-1 and i might go heavy. Good luck and Happy Holidays to all.... PSH |
I don't know why you would say those 2 are the only 2 that can win it.They are both trained by guys who's egos are off the charts. So,they have that in common.E Z Warrior hasn't looked the same since had the hoof problem after winning the h juv ch.He was gunna be a monster, but obviously hasn't been that great, and sure hasn't looked like a 7f horse.Le grand twat is a different story.God only knows.I mean he was desperate to get up against Abalanche at this track, and only beat Karakorum Tuxedo by 3 or 4 lengths. They came home slowly in the PERRYVILLE.Atleast it's a 7f horse.I think it could win due to the trainer, but you have grade 2 winners in here(and a Grade 1 winner,)and this horse hasn't won a grade 3 yet.If I take 3,they will be Devine Park(nice action on this horse, but hate the post,) G Hunter(a true 7f horse with questionable heart, but will probably produce if a fast opening quarter,) and Cobalt Blue seems like a 7f horse as well.If took more horses then probably would use the G TWAT cuz Frankel loves to win races with horses that pay very little to anybody(except him.)Can't wait for the 3/5 shots with Bejarano/Frankel in the coming weeks. They probably won't run this race fairly.Always gotta play games.Wouldn't be surprised if the pace sucks, and somebody laying 2nd or 3rd draws off. It's just the normal **** they pull the 1st week of this meet.

How could they spend $10 million in replacing
the main track and not be completely sure about drainage? Someone has some "splain'in" to do

Desert Code
I'll play #1 Desert Code to win. Two G3 wins albeit vs. small fields but like his Place and Show results in two other G3 races, one at the distance on an AW track and the other at 6f on the turf. Also like his record on AW tracks (4:2-0-1), second start off the layoff, reunites with Migliore and with the rail post he should rate off scary fast #5 pace setter Johnny Eves and hoping he can hold off #9 Great Hunter who ran well off the layoff to win G2.
#1 to win #1/5/9 Exacta Box Merry Christmas! |

Really like Carrilero in the Malibu. Think the distance suits him and the surface will not be a problem. He's a steal at 20-1. |
