Chuck, maybe get one of your owners to name a horse "Juan Who.".........Cuz this guy is pretty invisible out there.I'm sure he gets hits with men on,but for some reason, it seems like he gets 80% of his hits with nobody on/2 outs.

Well,he will tell you that he doesn't care about it(Grade One Wins,) so I think you're more concerned with it than he is.Anyways,
that's all I got for him...I am like the Dodgers going into extra innings(after they've used Saito and Broxton,Beimel.)

Dodgers don't hit good pitching.Any quality pitching effort destroys them. So,it's not like a mystery(how to beat them.)Just pitch a little bit,and they will lay down. That much I can promise you.

I agree. The thing about the Cubs that is really starting to piss me off is actually the fans. I would say about 15% of the bleachers crowd might have a clue and about 40% of the seated crowd understand the game of baseball. Matter of fact, I liken this new breed of Cub fan to some horse players, the ones that think they are machines and should run the same way every single time. I have been a die hard Cub fan since I can remember. I know about Keith Moreland, Doug Dascenzo, Jody Davis, Leon Durham. It really pains me to go to games now day, especially in the bleachers. Don't get me wrong, they are about as much fun as going to the strip club, which is a good thing, but I just wish they people would educate themselves. Bunch of yuppie people that look for the first thing to be negative about. Makes fans like myself, who know/love/respect the game look like idiots.

Back to Tiki, the problem here is that he is full of sh*%. If Coughlin was really the reason he retired, why would he announce it in the middle of the season last year? Why wouldn't he wait until the end of the year and not only see if Coughin got fired (which nearly happened), but lobby for it with upper management? He wouldn't be the first player to pull that trick. I have the feeling that if the Giants had a choice of having either Tiki or Coughlin back, Tiki would be back. I doubt Coughlin will be back next year anyway. I find it hard to believe that Tiki quit because of Coughlin, he quit because he wanted the job in the media.

Chuck, I agree with you that it is good for players to speak their minds, but Tiki has gone beyond that. First, it should be the truth. Second, regarding Manning, I have no problem with him criticizing him, but he should not be commenting on things that occurred in the locker room between players, not in front of journalists. Criticize his play all you want (there should be more than enough fodder to this point), but don't start trying to tear a team apart as a journalist that you no longer play for.

If you want to hear a guy with no clue, then it would be this damn Charlie Steiner(calls some of the Dodger away games when Scully stays in L.A.)THAT GUY REALLY DOES THINK ABOUT 80% of flyballs are going yard, and when they don't, it's always the wind that knocked that ball down.

Saw Jody Davis play "A" ball with the Mets minor league team back in 1977 (Little Falls Mets).

The whole thing with Tiki and Coughlin is :

1)Tiki is about as 2 faced as it gets, and thinks he was worth way more than he ever was(too big an ego,and not a team player.)

2)Coughlin can't get guys to play as a single unit.

All this stuff is the result of that.

And Giants will be .500 at best and Coughlin will be gone after the season...but at least Strahan is back

in the days of no franchise players, and free agency, why didn't he go elsewhere? he certainly could have taken his talent and love of the game to greener pastures, if things were so bad there. out ten mill, had to put up with a rotten coach and a poor QB...according to tiki that is. granted, he's got the right to speak his mind, but certainly others have a right to question his timing and sincerity. but, he has a book to sell, and as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
