Why pay the Borgata $330 to win $300 when you can keep the money in your wallet and bet it with Bruno the Bookie?

It will be successful, and am looking forward to my next trip to AC to see what platform they'll have.
Because if I pay Borgata and lose, nobody is coming to break my arm.

Anything that helps the tracks and the sport I am in favor of.

But, I do not understand why anyone would risk $330 to win $300 anyway. Talk about a permanent "chalk" situation. Less than even money in 3 hours, if you win. Yay.

Bookies only break arms as a last resort. Don't make the wager if you don't have the coin to pay the man. That simple.

A lot of young kids that don't get paid until friday are dead broke on thursday night. How are they to make the bet on Thursday Night Football? That's where Bruno the Bookie comes into play.

OK, but if you skip just one week, you'll always have the money to make bets for the rest of the season, as long as you keep working...

You obviously never bet football but I agree with you. Really hard to profit when you need to win 55% of the time to break even

Thats why I tend to bet the money lines and look for overlays.

Understanding how the lines work go a long ways, people think because a team is favored it means that Vegas thinks that team is going to win, which in a lot of ways it does but the goal of every line would be to have 50/50 money distribution between the teams, sharp players may say the game is a pick em yet one team could be -2 on the board because money has been come coming in on one team. This is obvious stuff I know but may not be to everyone.

Sports gambling is the hardest thing to win at and the biggest sucker bet. That's what makes betting horses so nice. Small risk big reward. As for betting football. You need to hit a whole bunch of games to make any cash.

N.J. sports betting Q&A: How can you place a bet? What are the restrictions?
