Taking nothing away from DM, but his sire has to be one of the most over-rated stallions in Kentucky...

this race from what i read was a means to an end. he will be stretching out, this distance obviously not his cup of tea.
BUT, racing may no longer be his cup of tea. we shall see...

I disagree - I think he's underrated, actually - he sires 9% SW from foals, which is very good (especially considering Malibu Moon ran only twice and presumably didn't get particularly good mares) and his AEI is very solid.

Good God I agree with Betsy. Nobody was going to go with winner today and Declan's Moon is not done racing.
