He was being chased by a horse who should not have even been allowed to enter the race whose trainer is some relative to a trainer who just got suspended for having his horses in unspeakable condition.

Maybe but that wasn't a ridiculous pace. 23.1 opening quarter for a horse that was running for 25k two back completely uncontested should be gate to wire.

It really comes down to conditioning and zona guy can defend Diodora all he wants.

My opinion of Diodora stands.
