Surfaces change speed from day to day. Tweaking the distance won't solve it, unless the two surfaces play to the same variant as they did yesterday. Also, the turf horses were a more classy group of horses than the dirt horses, yesterday. The Turf horses were open $7,500 claimers. The dirt horses were $5,000 claimers, which haven't won two races in the last six months. The fact that the turf horses had better form -- is probably a reason why people foolishly considered them. |
