Can vouch for the fact that Steve was on the video feed during the inquiry where Devilish Love survived the dual inquiry/objection over Face to Black.

Has anyone checked with either Andy Serling or Mike Beer just yet? Seriously, the stewards have been asleep at the switch for months on the NYRA circuit and it is going to take a horse/jockey going down before these rough-house antics are brought back under control.

While on the subject, what the heck is going on today at Saratoga with jockeys trying to be super-heroes?

It was refreshing to see Frankie Dettori this weekend despite crushing the Sanford front speed in 21:3 along with Castellano. Nice to see someone pressing the speed for a change although this was suicidal with 2yo stakes placed babies.

In the eighth race, Irad Ortiz positioned on the outside with Fade to Black shifts to the inside seeing a wandering Devilish Love and winds up getting pinned for his life in addition to giving up a length or two.

In the tenth race (Diana), Javier Castellano goes three wide on the opening turn to press the pace offered by Discrete Marq in a race laden with the front running options? (Oh, Alterite was throwing her head about - yes, because Catellano was trying to settle her into an impossible position.)

seemed to be an awful lot of rank horses today or maybe jockeys over riding
