When Delaware Park was '' Saratoga South '' in the early 80's the track announcer used the same line. I'm not positive but somehow I got the impression he was the track handicapper as well. My feeble memory thinks his first name was Joe.For all I know it's the same guy. I'm sure someone here knows.

I cut my wagering teeth at Calder in the late 80s and early 90's. Some of my favorite Calder regulars:

Gun Deck 134 36 21 21
Spirit of Fighter 72 33 6 10
Judy's Red Shoes 83 25 13 12
Ponche 47 16 9 6
Swedaus 74 12 14 18

They danced every dance and ran their guts out every time.

Old Man Rose had him and I think his name was Sweet Bobby V
