![]() My wife and I watched AN UNMARRIED WOMAN Mr. Mazursky's picture from 1978 currently streaming on Netflix. Very good film with fine performances by Allan Bates and in particular by the late Jill Clayburgh (who received a well deserved Oscar nomination), she was very good.

![]() I saw Unmarried Woman when it first came out, but it's been so long ago, don't remember much. I should probably go back and watch it again. Alan Bates makes me think of another good movie, "Zorba the Greek." And Jill Clayburgh makes me think of a movie she had a small part in called "Fools Rush In" with Salma Hayak and Matthew Perry of "friends" fame.

![]() As a Gen-Xer who was glued to MTV in the 1980s, I first became aware of him as the co-creator of The Monkees. What a run he had. RIP.
